Get ready to welcome your new and improved expenses workflow. The latest changes to your Staff Squared account will transform the way you submit and manage your company’s expense claims and we are excited to hear your thoughts.

Streamlined Expense Process

As a result of this new, streamlined expense process, you and your staff can easily and efficiently submit multiple receipts and mileage for one expense claim, meaning that you can get back to doing what you do best without spending unnecessary time adding receipts individually to your expense claims.

 


Save your Bulk Approve Receipts

As a result of the new ability to submit multiple receipts, you can now approve expense receipts in bulk, saving you a world of time.

Assign Expence Approvers in your Company Settings

Before, you could only manage your expense approvers in the Settings tab of each individual employee’s profile; now, a brand new section added to the Expenses area of your Company Settings allows you to manage this for all employees in one place.

 

More Granular Settings

With the introduction of the new expense settings, come more in-depth permissions which allow you to determine exactly who can approve your staff’s expense claims on an individual and group basis.

Duplicate Previous Expenses

Repeatedly entering the same expense claims can become tiresome and time-consuming – so we have introduced the option to duplicate existing expenses. By simply hitting the ‘duplicate’ button, you will be directed to a pre-populated expense claim form containing all the relevant information. All you need to do is click ‘save’.

 

HMRC Limit Notifications

It can be hard to keep track of your expense limits, especially when you have a business to run. To make things a little easier for you, we have added notifications to your expenses to let you know when you are going to exceed HMRC limits including information on what to do next.

 

Improved Expenses Report

Your new and improved Expense Totals report gives you the ability to filter your results using a variety of options that can be found along the top of the report. You can now also view a list of all expense claims for each employee by simply maximising their results.

 

Other New Features for you to Enjoy

In addition to assigning holiday approvers to each individual via their profile, you can now find more granular holiday approval permissions in the Holiday section of your Company Settings.

Like the new expense approver settings, you can now determine who can approve your staff’s holiday requests on an individual and group basis and identify whether managers and holiday approvers can see all holidays in your company calendar.

‘What can you expect to see next from our string of updates?’ I hear you ask. Well, wonder no more. We will be turning our attention to your time tracking workflows and timesheets, ensuring that you are able to switch between clients more easily. You will also see the introduction of a new Chrome extension for easy access to your timer start/stop and advanced time tracking reports. We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.
