Our customers have been very vocal about the benefits of having an Applicant Tracking System built into Staff Squared and we’ve listened.
Introducing phase one of Jobs, Staff Squared’s very own applicant tracking system designed to help you stay on top of all of your job vacancies while tracking applicants and their CVs.
We’ve even thought about the candidates who might apply for positions but are unsuccessful and would make a great fit for a talent pool of potential future hires.
Before you can track any candidates, you first need a job for them to apply for. With our new Jobs feature, you can create vacancies (active or inactive) by filling out a job template which includes:
- Job title.
- Job location.
- Job description including duties and responsibilities.
- Job type.
- Hours of work.
- Company benefits.
- Salary (hour, day, month or year).
- Desirable/required skills.
- Desirable/required qualifications.
Once a job has been created, you can start tracking applicants against it. Each job will show a number of candidates which, when clicked, will take you to a list of names of the people who have applied and their CVs.
Keep a Record of Candidates
Uploading candidates to Staff Squared couldn’t be easier. With just a few short steps, you can upload a candidate’s CV.
Once in the system, candidates are all stored together along with their CVs which can easily be downloaded.
Candidates can live as stand-alone entries in your talent pool, or they can be linked to active or inactive jobs. You can see the jobs each candidate has applied for by clicking on the number listed.
By default, only admins can add jobs and candidates. If you want to give these permissions to other staff members you can add them via the new Jobs tab in your Company Settings.
These people will have access to all jobs and candidates that are added to your applicant tracking.
There may be times when an employee is going for a job internally. In this case, you may want to restrict what they are able to see to ensure they are unable to access the other applicants’ CVs.
For this very reason, the option to restrict access from a particular job or candidate is available. To remove access to a job or candidate from a staff member, simply click the ‘x’. They will still be able to see all other entries without the ability to view information on the job they’re going for and other applicants applying for it.
In the coming weeks and months, we are turning our attention to even more improvements to Staff Squared including Company Links – a Dashboard widget that allows you to link to external company pages such as your website or tools required to work effectively within the business – and more granular holiday restriction options.
Keep your feedback coming. We are always keen to hear from you. You can contact us at email@example.com.
