Staff Squared Product Update: November ’16
12th November 2016
Another month and yet another product update! We largely ignored the presidential race in the USA because we love software more than policitics. Is that so wrong??
Anyway – our focus for this release is to further enhance the reporting that our customers know and love along with some other minor updates throughout the application.
New! Staff audit history report
Staff Squared keeps a comprehensive list of who makes changes throughout various areas of the app but in particular the staff profiles. It has always been possible to report on this data for an individual member of staff by simplying heading over the HR audit tab for any particular person. A number of customers requested that this report be made available in a way that allowed them to view the audit data for all members of staff between two dates, so that’s exactly what we’ve added!
Simply head over to the new HR audit report and select the from and to date, and you’ll be provided with a list of all the changes made across all staff. As with all of the reports in Staff Squared you can export this to Excel for further data geekery!
New! Filter by group in your calendar
It has always been possible to filter the calendar view by department, office or type of absence that you wish to see. The filters are even sticky, in that once you set them up you can forget them and they’ll persist each time you log in. Neat eh?
To add to this fantastic filtering functionality we’ve added another new filter called Group, which allows you to filter what you see on the calendar by the groups you have created on your staff list.
New! Send company broadcast to a specific group
Company broadcasts are an incredibly easy to use but very powerful beneift of Staff Squared, and they’re now even more powerful. Up until this release it was only possible to send a company broadcast to the entire company. Sometimes there are certain people who just don’t need the latest company news. So, to help with this you can now filter who receives a company broadcast by staff groups created in the staff list. If you need to message a particular group of people on a regular basis just create a group on the staff list and broadcast away to them as you see fit!
We’re here to help!
As always, if there’s any feedback you’d like to send us just head over to the contact page and get in touch.
All the best,
The Staff Squared Team
