Product Update: October ’15
There’s a lot happening here at Staff Squared, not least of which is the release of time-sheets and dynamic reminders which we hope you’ll love. We’ve also added other enhancements, and added a dab of polish to various areas of the app. Here’s an update!

Pay by Direct Debit and win a £50 Amazon voucher!
A number of our customers have been inconvenienced when their cards have expired and they’ve not had the time to give us new card information.
We’ve done as much as we can to prevent this problem happening but to be honest it’s out of our hands. The only way we can help prevent this from happening is to encourage you to pay by direct debit. If you would like to switch to direct debit payments, please hit reply and we’ll arrange that for you.
All customers who move to direct debit between now and Christmas will be entered in to a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher.
Timesheets are here!
We’re now in the process of creating a version 2 which will include reminders and timesheet approvals.
Information about how to get started with timesheets can be found here. You can turn timesheets on within your account under Enable features in your company settings.

Each of our customers needs a unique set of reminders designed to suit their business needs. Prior to this release Staff Squared only provided very basic reminder settings. You weren’t happy with that, so we’ve changed it.
You can now head over to your sparkly new reminders tab (in company settings) to define reminders exactly as you need them.
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and feedback on this one.
Book time off from the new Staff Squared mobile app
We’ve upgraded the Android and Apple mobile apps so you can now book time off via the app. Awesome right? Book time off from literally anywhere in the world (with mobile reception!).
We’d really appreciate it if you could please take the time to rate our mobile apps if you find them useful!
Holiday accrued calculator
We know that it’s useful to be able to quickly work out the amount of holiday a person is entitled to as of a certain date.
We’ve added a simple calculator to get you this information quickly and easily. Head over to the holiday tab for a staff member and hit the See accrued holiday button at the top of the page.
Custom employment types
You can now add your own drop down items for employment types on staff profiles. Just click the cog and update the employment types to suit your needs.
You’ll have probably noticed that we’ve changed the style of the tabs on employee profiles. We’ve also fixed a number of issues and added minor enhancements all over the app.
We’ve also made some changes to the information that appears in the notification e-mails to make them more useful. For example, we now tell you the name of the day someone has booked off, not just the date!
Alerts on the calendar are now bright red, so they’re harder to miss!
We’re working on version 2 of the timesheets which we will release in the coming weeks.
Full and half-days will also be added to the calendar to make booking a half day off much easier.
